This overview is a guide. The full terms below apply.
01 Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to BPM Finder at bpmfder.com and its associated audio tools, account features and subscriptions (the “Service”). “BPM Finder,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the service offered under that name.
By using the Service, creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
02 What the service provides
BPM Finder is a digital software service for estimating audio tempo and musical key, displaying Camelot notation, playing audio, tapping tempo, practicing with a metronome and exporting analysis results. Pro adds Energy, Dance and Happy measurements and the option to save analysis snapshots to an account.
Audio analysis runs in your browser. Some optional measurements use third-party machine-learning technology, including the LAION CLAP model distributed through Transformers.js and ONNX Runtime. These models run on your device; using them does not send your recording to an external AI service. Model files may need to download before the feature works.
Access to paid digital features begins after payment is confirmed and the subscription is activated. File formats, recording length, device resources and browser support can affect whether a file can be analyzed. Current limits and features are described on the Pricing page.
03 Accounts and eligibility
The free audio tools do not require an account. Subscriptions and saved history require an account with accurate information and a reachable email address. You can sign in with Google or register with an email verification code and password.
Keep your login credentials private, do not share your account with others and contact support@bpmfder.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.
04 Free and Pro plans
Free access includes BPM, musical key and Camelot analysis, playback, result editing, Tap Tempo, the metronome and CSV export. An active Pro subscription adds Energy, Dance and Happy scores and Save Results. Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription; current prices and billing intervals appear on Pricing and at checkout.
This Service uses subscriptions rather than credits or prepaid analysis tokens. A yearly plan is charged as one annual payment even when its price is also shown as a monthly equivalent. Features and limits may change as described in Section 15. Listing a plan does not itself authorize a charge.
05 Billing and automatic renewal
Recurring payment authorization
When you complete a paid subscription purchase, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method for the plan and billing interval shown at checkout. Your subscription automatically renews each month or year, as selected, until you cancel under Section 6. There is no free trial unless one is expressly offered at checkout.
Payments are processed through Waffo Pancake. The amount, currency, billing interval and any applicable taxes are shown before you confirm payment. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Your payment provider may apply separate currency-conversion or transaction fees.
Changes and unsuccessful payments
We will give advance notice of subscription price changes before they apply to a renewal, with time to cancel and any additional consent required by applicable law. We do not retroactively increase the price of an already paid period. If a payment fails, paid access may be paused until payment is resolved. You can view your subscription status on Pricing while signed in.
06 Canceling a subscription
To stop automatic renewal, sign in with the account used to subscribe, open Pricing, choose Cancel renewal in your subscription summary and confirm. The page displays the updated subscription status. If you cannot access your account, email support@bpmfder.com from your registered address for help.
A confirmed cancellation stops future renewals. Pro remains available until the end of the paid period unless that payment is refunded or access is suspended for a reason permitted by these Terms. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid another charge. Canceling does not automatically refund a previous payment; see Section 7.
When Pro ends, you cannot generate new paid measurements or save new results. You can still view, export or delete snapshots already saved to your account. Canceling a subscription does not delete the account or its saved history.
07 Refund policy
First-subscription 7-day guarantee
If this is your first paid subscription to BPM Finder, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your first successful charge. This applies to both monthly and yearly plans and does not depend on an analysis usage quota. It does not restart when a subscription renews or is purchased again.
Other eligible refunds
- Duplicate or incorrect charges: we refund verified duplicate charges and correct confirmed billing errors.
- Major service interruption: if a verified problem on our side prevents access to paid features for more than 72 consecutive hours, you may request a proportionate refund for the affected period, or agree to an extension instead.
- Mandatory rights: any cancellation, withdrawal, refund or other remedy required by applicable consumer law remains available. These Terms do not remove those rights.
Outside these circumstances, fees for completed or partially used subscription periods and renewal charges are not ordinarily refundable. Canceling renewal alone is not a refund request. A restriction or account suspension does not remove a refund right required by law.
How to request a refund
Email support@bpmfder.com with your account email, order or transaction ID, charge date and request details. Never email your password or full payment-card details. We aim to acknowledge requests within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days. Refunds go to the original payment method; the time for the money to appear depends on the payment provider.
An approved refund may end the paid access associated with that payment and cancel its renewal. We will explain its effect when confirming the refund. Saved snapshots remain accessible as described in Section 6.
08 Billing questions and disputes
If you do not recognize a charge or think a payment is incorrect, contact support@bpmfder.com with the transaction details so we can investigate. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Contacting us does not limit your right to dispute a transaction with your bank or payment provider or extend any deadline they impose.
09 Your audio and analysis results
You retain your rights in the audio and other material you use with the Service. You must have the permissions necessary to analyze that material. BPM Finder does not acquire ownership of your recordings, and an analysis result does not grant copyright, sampling, performance or distribution rights in the underlying music.
You may use and export your analysis results for lawful personal or commercial purposes, subject to any third-party rights. To the extent we hold rights in a result, we permit that use. Similar recordings may produce similar or identical measurements.
You give us only the limited permission needed to provide features you choose, such as storing and displaying a saved result. We do not use your recordings or saved results to train AI models. Our interface, original content and branding remain ours or our licensors’. Separately licensed software and model components remain subject to their own license terms, available in the analysis notices.
10 Acceptable use
You may use the Service for lawful music analysis, practice, production, research and mix preparation. You must not:
- Process material in a way that infringes someone else’s copyright, privacy or other rights.
- Commit payment fraud, use stolen credentials or gain unauthorized access to another account.
- Bypass subscription access controls, exploit security vulnerabilities or disrupt the Service.
- Use automated requests or bulk extraction in a way that overloads our infrastructure or collects other users’ information.
- Resell account access without permission or misrepresent estimates as guaranteed measurements or professional advice.
- Use the Service for any unlawful activity or in violation of applicable payment-network rules.
These restrictions do not limit rights you have under the separate licenses of open-source components or rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.
11 Data, privacy and security
Our Privacy Policy explains the information we process, cookies and browser storage, service providers, retention and your privacy choices.
Your selected audio is decoded and processed on your device. Audio files and unsaved workspace results are held in the current page session and are cleared when you refresh or close it. Exporting a CSV saves a file to your device.
Email registration stores a verified email address and a salted password hash. Google sign-in provides basic profile information for authentication. We use session cookies and process account, security and subscription information to provide access and prevent abuse. Google handles Google authentication, Resend delivers verification emails, and Cloudflare provides hosting, storage, security and performance measurement. These providers may process relevant account or technical information under their own policies.
Selecting Save Results with Pro stores subsequent completed analysis snapshots, including track names and measurements, in your account. It does not upload the audio. Unchecking the box stops future saves. You can delete saved snapshots from Saved Results or contact support@bpmfder.com about account and privacy requests.
Payment-card details are handled by Waffo Pancake and its payment partners, not stored in our account database. We retain account and saved-result information while needed to provide the Service or meet legal, accounting, dispute-resolution and security obligations. Subscription cancellation alone does not trigger automatic deletion. We take reasonable security measures, but cannot guarantee that every transmission or system is risk-free.
12 Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device or file, or a particular analysis result. These qualifications do not limit the express refund policy or mandatory consumer guarantees.
BPM, musical key, Camelot and model-assisted scores are estimates. Tempo can be ambiguous, percussion may have no composed key, and Dance and Happy are relative model scores rather than objective facts. Review results before relying on them. They are not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive loss, including loss of profits or data. Our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. No exclusion or limit applies where it would be unlawful, including for fraud, willful misconduct or rights and liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
13 Suspension and termination
These Terms apply while you use the Service. We may restrict or terminate access for a material breach, suspected fraud, a serious security risk or a legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.
If we permanently end paid access for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will refund the unused prepaid portion on a proportionate basis. You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion at support@bpmfder.com. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate requests; tell us if you want both. Any legally required record retention and rights that should survive termination continue to apply.
14 Resolving disagreements
Please contact support@bpmfder.com first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. This does not prevent you from using any court, regulator, complaint process or other remedy available under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer protections or requires you to waive a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
15 Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms. The version and effective date appear above. For material changes, we will give at least 14 days’ advance notice through the Service or your account email, except where an earlier change is necessary to comply with law or address an urgent security issue. Changes do not retroactively remove rights from an earlier transaction. If you disagree with an update, stop using the Service and cancel renewal before it takes effect. Any consent required by law will be obtained separately.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the plan and transaction details you accept at checkout form the agreement for your use of the Service, subject to mandatory law.
